Reunite with everyone’s favorite YA couple Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky in the first trailer for Netflix’s To All the Boys: Always and Forever.
Netflix has released the first trailer for To All the Boys: Always and Forever, as well as the YA romcom’s February release date. In 2018, Netflix waded further into the romantic comedy genre with To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, a sweetly earnest flick based on the book of the same name by Jenny Han. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before quickly became a hit, winning over audiences and turning its lead performers Lana Condor and Noah Centineo into major stars. The film follows hopeless romantic Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor) and her growing relationship with childhood crush Peter Kavinsky (Centineo) after her sister mails out love letters Lara Jean once wrote to all her past crushes.
The success of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before led Netflix to greenlight a sequel based on Han’s second novel, P.S. I Still Love You. Released last February, P.S. I Still Love You continues Lara Jean and Peter’s relationship even as it grows complicated with the arrival of romantic rival John Ambrose McClaren (Jordan Fisher). Even before P.S. I Still Love You was released, Netflix confirmed To All the Boys 3 was on the way, and fans have eagerly awaited any news on the final installment.
Now, a day after revealing the first bit of footage from To All the Boys 3, Netflix has unveiled the first full trailer. The video dives right into Lara Jean and Peter’s senior year of high school, right as they begin to prepare for college and beyond. Additionally, Netflix has confirmed To All the Boys 3 will premiere on February 12, perfectly in line with last year’s P.S. I Still Love You. Check out the trailer down below.
This first look at Always and Forever features glimpses of all the hallmarks of a senior year, from college applications to prom to graduation. The end of high school serves as a natural conclusion to Lara Jean and Peter’s story, especially since audiences have watched them grow over the course of their junior year. Unsurprisingly, the biggest thing on the couple’s mind is college, and To All the Boys 3‘s trailer establishes right from the get-go that they’re trying to go to the same school. However, as the end reveals, that might be harder than initially assumed.
All told, this fresh peek at the final To All the Boys movie includes what fans have come to love about the franchise: Sweet romantic moments between Lara Jean and Peter, bonding between Lara Jean and her family, and the overall wholesome vibe. One thing missing from the trailer, however, is P.S. I Still Love You‘s John Ambrose. Some have wondered if Lara Jean’s other suitor could appear in To All the Boys 3. If he will, it looks like Netflix is eager to keep that a secret. Fans will just have to tune in next month to find out.
